It is increasingly part of a wider digital environment where networks, edge computers and cloud platforms all work together.

Over the past two decades, cloud computing has gradually changed the role of the data center, and only recently has AI begun to accelerate that change. What we are seeing now is a much closer relationship between computer infrastructure and telephone networks.

Networks themselves are increasingly software-driven and programmable, meaning they can move data, workloads and services across a distributed environment with greater intelligence.

            What you can read next

As AI applications continue to grow, data centers will also need to adapt. They will need to respond to changing demand, manage energy consumption carefully and support real-time applications in areas such as healthcare, mobility and smart infrastructure.

From a telecom perspective, we are moving towards a world where networks and data centers operate as part of the same system rather than as completely separate layers of infrastructure. That is a fundamental change in the way digital infrastructure is designed and managed.

He wants automated analytics and predictive analytics to be used for next-generation data centers. Engineers often step in when something goes wrong, or when performance starts to slow down. AI-driven analytics will allow us to move towards predictive modeling.

By analyzing large amounts of operational data such as traffic patterns, machine performance and environmental conditions, these systems can begin to identify early signs that something may be failing. That gives operators the opportunity to step in early, or in some cases automatically remove the workload from the entire infrastructure before anyone experiences an outage.

Energy management is another area where this can make a real difference. Predictive systems can monitor usage and environmental data in real time and adjust cooling, workload and energy consumption as conditions change.

Over time this leads to a more efficient infrastructure, which is more resilient and better able to adapt as demand changes.

It is amazing to think that the first commercial rollout of 5G happened in the same year as COVID-19 (2019). Almost seven years later and the 6G talks were already in full swing at MWC. What do you make of it and what are your thoughts on 5.5G?

In telecoms it is common for research into the next generation of technology to begin long before the current one is fully implemented.

5G is still developing and many of the capabilities that people are integrating with it are starting to appear in real-world applications. The concept of 5.5G is about extending what we already have, improving performance, enabling more advanced services and introducing more automation into the network.

At the same time, work on 6G has begun, simply because telecommunications development cycles are so long.

The exciting thing about 6G is that future networks won’t just provide connectivity. They will likely combine communication, hearing and computing in a more integrated way.

Rather than focusing solely on speed, the real opportunity is to build networks that are smarter and more flexible, and better able to support the increasingly complex digital environment we are beginning to see.

Where do people stand in this discussion? With increasing communication will increase between humanoids and the universe.

People will still be at the center of all this. It is true that a large amount of network traffic now comes from machines talking to other machines. Sensors, connected devices, automated systems and digital platforms are constantly exchanging information.

In many ways what we once called the Internet of Things is growing into something broader and more complex.

But people are still the ones who design these systems, set the goals and decide how they should work. As AI and automation are increasingly focused on telecommunications infrastructure and the data center, that human oversight is becoming more important than ever.

We don’t need to build networks that work by themselves, we need to create systems that are smarter and more efficient while remaining transparent, responsive and tailored to people’s ultimate needs.

Follow TechRadar for Google news again add us as a favorite resource to get our expert news, reviews, and opinions in your feed.
