Those details aside, little else is publicly known about the next installment of the Disney+ show — but when has that ever stopped me from speculating? In this guide, I will do just that. Of course, I’ll give my prediction on its eventual launch, discuss its potential plot, and try to figure out what other characters might return. Wonder Man‘s first season. All in all now: lights, camera, aaaaaand… action!

The article continues below
That’s not a big surprise. Its first season only aired on January 28, so it’s possible that very little pre-production work — script writing, casting tests, etc. — has been done. Unless the rate of development really picks up in the coming months, it could be some time before filming begins – and even before it’s back on our screens.
My guess? It will be be coming out in front Avengers: Secret Wars. That is the final film of the Multiverse Saga, the end of which is expected to result in a soft reboot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). With Secret Wars will arrive in December 2027, Wonder Man season 2 will have to start before the reboot, which means it will air in November 2027. Better get a sequel, then, Marvel.
Wonder Man season 2 trailer: is there one?
No – and, if past promotional campaigns for Marvel TV shows are anything to go by, the trailer won’t be with us until a month or two earlier. Wonder Man season 2 is released. Once one is revealed, I’ll add it to this section.
Wonder Man season 2 cast confirmed
The good ones follow Wonder Man season 1.
Here are the confirmed cast members Wonder Man season 2 so far:
- Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams
- Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery
The aforementioned characters were the main characters in season 1, so it’s no surprise that they’ll be back Wonder Man season 2. However, last season’s finale ended with something (more on this later), so it will be interesting to see when and where it will be reunited.
Surprisingly, there is no word on whether the other actors will reprise their roles in the The first outing of the MCU TV Original. Zlatko Buric’s Von Kovak, X Mayo’s Janelle Jackson, Arian Moayed’s Agent P. Cleary, Shola Adewusi’s Martha Williams, and Demetrius Grosse’s Eric Williams all seem like safe bets. We’ll have to wait for Marvel to say if one or all of these stars are part of the process, though.
Guessing the story of Wonder Man season 2
Wonder Man The story synopsis for season 2 is yet to be released. However, based on the fate of its ancestor, we can determine where things may go.
Need a reminder of what happened at the end of last season? Mine Wonder Man it’s the only described episode we’ve found. I’ll be expanding on some of the plot elements from that article on, too, so be warned: Full spoilers immediately follow for Wonder Man‘s debut season.
Last season’s finale saw Williams break Slattery out of the Department of Damage Control’s (DoDC) prison. Slattery was arrested after impersonating the Mandarin again, which he did to take the massacre caused by Williams with his powers in episode 7.
Anyway, the last shot of season 1 episode 8 showed Williams and Slattery flying to an unknown destination.
The best place for its next season to begin, then, will be reuniting this fan-favorite romance, and showing whether they are hiding out to escape the DoDC or just returning to Los Angeles and their acting careers. In my opinion, the first would be the most likely scenario. Why risk returning to LA to continue their professional and personal lives if the DoDC is going to be a hit?

Regardless of which of the above scenarios is at play, Wonder Man 2 you’ll need to address the elephant in the room: how did Williams get his superhuman abilities?
Speaking to TechRadar ahead of the season 1 premiere, producer Andrew Guest said he “didn’t feel the need” to shed light on it. Wonder Mana great mystery. With season 2 on the way, we’d all appreciate a straight answer — even if, as some fans say, Williams is guaranteed to change. That would be a big (and potentially unpopular) departure from his superhero story in the comics, but at least it would solve the mystery.
The last big question on my mind is the one I touched on in the section on the day this guide was released: the will Wonder Man season 2 is coming early Secret Wars‘ December 2027 release?
Hopefully, the answer will be “yes”. Secret Wars not only will it bring down the curtain on the MCU’s Multiverse Saga, but it could also reset Marvel’s cinematic franchise.
Before that reboot takes place, it would be in the best interests of the comic titan to wrap up all the major stories and character arcs in the remaining Marvel Phase 6 movies and TV shows so that the MCU can reboot. For that to happen, production will have to be completed Wonder Man 2 mid 2027 before it appears before next December. Besides, MCU 2.0 will need to pick things up there Wonder ManThe first season left, which won’t be a good deal for Marvel if they want to reboot their cinematic universe with a clean slate.
Will there be a Wonder Man season 3?
I don’t know, and I suspect the series’ cast and crew don’t either.
Also, a lot will depend on whether the MCU deals with its reported reboot after-Secret Wars. If it does, chances are Wonder Man season 3 being greenlit is small. The only way it can be is if a) season 2 is as high-profile, popular, and economical as its predecessor, and b) Williams and Slattery continue to exist in version 2.0 of the MCU.
Until Avengers: Secret Wars is out, so no one can say for sure that a third season renewal is in the cards.
