Our Mid-Winter Roundup of Goodies

Now that the joy of the holidays is behind us, winter no longer holds the same charm. As we head into February, the temperatures are freezing and the days are getting shorter – the perfect storm for the winter blues to settle.

I don’t know about you, but a little retail therapy can go a long way to warm my heart when the skies are cloudy and it’s too cold (to motivate myself) to go out. Who is with me?

We don’t usually buy into the tradition of shopping on Lucie’s List, but sometimes – and especially when that blah winter feeling just won’t go away – you just have to treat yourself. We’ve put together a list of products that have cheered us up and/or rocked our world this cold season. Whether it’s an air fryer, a beautiful jigsaw puzzle or other clothes that bring summer to our dark days, we hope you’ll find something in this list that will make you smile.

Air Fryer ~ $ varies

As an instant pot, the Air Fryer has also changed my life. It is very easy to cook food quickly and with such a small mess (chicken chickens in 10 minutes instead of 35? Yes, please!), Now I wonder how I lived without it. ~ Meg

Athleta Balance Jacket ~ $119

This soft zip jacket has become my favorite winter item. It’s perfect if you need something simple and very comfortable around the house. Plus, it goes with everything in my closet. ~ Meg

Lorimer State Bag Fanny Pack ~ $90

My favorite everyday bag! I love that I can wear this crossbody or as a fan pack. It has two separate compartments, so I can organize it well: one side for keys, wallet, chapstick, and all my essentials; and the other side of my kids stuff (epi pen, bandages and hair ties). ~ Marisa

Mini Pilates Ball ~ $12

This small ball is a wonderful exercise tool for strengthening the spine, abdominal muscles and pelvic floor. Add it to your home gym arsenal for <$15. ~ Meg

Farm Rio Clothing ~ $ varies

If you need to add a little (or a lot) of color to your winter days, check out Farm Rio. The motto of this sustainable Brazilian brand is “dress for joy,” and boy, do they deliver. All pieces are happy, unique and full of life. ~ Charlene

I will show myself outJessi Klein ~ $18

This collection of witty essays on motherhood reads like Amy Pohler and Tina Fey — wild, relatable, funny, and to die for. If you can listen, Jessi Klein is reading an audiobook to herself; His narration says 👌. ~Brit

Athleta Pranayama Wrap ~ $89

This loose wrap is a daily staple for me – I’ve had an episode like this years and tried tons of different products… this is the hands down winner. I literally bought three. ~Brit

Jigsaw Puzzles ~ $21

I have a new (or renewed) love for puzzles. They are a great way to spend a snowy or rainy afternoon without relying on screens. In addition, I find them relaxing and meditative. ~ Charlene

Rhone Loungewear for men ~ $79

I bought my husband a Rhone lounger for Christmas, and he has been living in it. Butter is soft and creamy — perfect for lazy Sunday mornings. I also like that they offer a waste-free alternative to shipping: their packaging is completely recyclable, and their shipping partner, Olive, will come to your location to pick it up again. ~ Charlene

Theragun Mini ~ $159

The sore muscles are gone. This little guy targets those tight and sore spots in a way you can’t do on your own. Bonus: it’s small enough to take with you. ~ Marisa

Tower 28 Mascara ~ $20

This mascara checks all the boxes: it defines and lengthens every single lash; gentle enough for sensitive eyes; and is non-toxic. Every Tower 28 makeup line has been a win for me so far, especially their bold sunscreen foundation and lip gloss. ~ Charlene

Vuori Joggers ~ $98

These comfortable runners have quickly become part of my daily uniform. I love the fit and feel of them – and they’re great paired with a plain t-shirt and sneakers. ~ Marisa

Olaplex hair repair treatment ~ $62

I just started accepting my curls. But after straightening my hair all my life, my locks needed a little help to get their strength back. This treatment has been a game changer, and I have received many compliments on my hair. If only I could go back and tell my 14-year-old self to put down the steering wheel… ~ Charlene

We hope you find something in this love list to help you get through the tough winter times. Brighter days are on the way!
