TV shows

Sequence ~ Max
If you don’t watch this series, now in its fourth season, you should. Reportedly based on the real-life media-mogul Murdoch family, the series is equal parts drama and dark comedy. Although I can’t say I get any of the characters in particular lovelyThe dynamic dynamics, alliances and positions between them are interesting and fascinating.
BEEF ~ Netflix
What happens when street rage turns into a manic-obsessive spiral? Watch BEEF to find out. Exploring anger, depression and humanity in all its flaws and glories, this limited series is touching, funny and heart-warming all at once. Steven Yeun and Ali Wong are amazing – as is the soundtrack.

Books

Unexpected Village of Eden ~ $17
This moving and raw memoir by Emma Nadler describes her journey to care for her child, Eden, who was born with an incredibly rare genetic condition. This book is perfect everything parents and guardians; it’s a good reminder that life doesn’t always (or maybe ever?) plan, and that it’s okay (necessary, even) to lean in, and ask for and accept help.
Demon Copperhead ~ $18
Kingsolver’s powerful storytelling delves into the neglected corners of the Appalachian Mountains, where Damon Fields, nicknamed the Demon Copperhead, navigates a challenging life from foster care that resembles labor camps. The novel reveals Demon’s unwavering resilience as he faces hunger, cruelty, loss, and the devastating effects of the OxyContin epidemic, all while maintaining his deep love for his country.

Got an independent tote on your hands? Kizik shoes have a hands-free design that makes it easy for kids to put them on and take them off without any adult help – changing out the door has never been easier. My kids have worn them every day for a year, and they still look like new!

Rockin’ BLINKS PJs
Made from Pima Cotton, Rocking’ BLINKS pajamas are so soft, you’ll wish the PJs came in adult sizes. Each set, which is gender-neutral, comes with a card with specific sleep information to help you understand sleep (and your challenges) in your baby’s age. The company was founded by Lola Sanchez Liste, a sleep consultant, mother of two and Charlene’s neighbor.
