These are absolutely perfect! One of my biggest takeaways from making many fried donuts is that the dough is too dry, resulting in a dense interior. Not so with this recipe. Yes the dough is a little sticky, but a good dusting of flour on your hands or a rolling pin and it’s manageable. And the finished donuts are so good – crispy on the outside and light and airy on the inside. I will do it again!

Brussels Sprouts Gratin

Only Chungah can take a take-it-or-leave-it vegetable and make me LOVE it! These brussels sprouts are so delicious, I could eat them forever and that’s saying something because my mom loves plain, boiled sprouts and fed them a lot when I was a kid. I don’t like it very much so it took some real courage to try them as an adult. Fortunately, Chungah did not disappoint me. I plan to add this dish to my holiday table, that’s great. A glorious combination of bacon, thyme and nutmeg!

Green Bean Casserole with Crispy Fried Shallots

I saw this recipe and thought…OMG this sounds delicious so I made it for my family that year for Thanksgiving. The only tweak I made was to mix in some mushrooms…shiitakes and portabellas…whatever fresh mushrooms looked best at the market.
