Games where the tiles are a little different — like today’s two good words, I always throw.
I’m not sure how I managed to get through without making a mistake, but Connections miracles do happen. That said, I spent a long time trying to sort things out, even if I didn’t know MONARCH BUTTERFLY was orange or what BRASS TACKS meant.
As usual, knowing the two links and guessing the most likely strings got me through the line.

What is NYT Connections?
NYT Connections is one of the increasingly popular word games created by The New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four elements that share something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is easy, yellow is a little harder, blue is usually harder and purple is usually more difficult.
On the other hand, you don’t technically need to solve the last one, as you will be able to answer that one through the process of elimination. In addition, you can make four mistakes, which gives you a little breathing room.
It’s a bit more involved than something like Wordle, however, and there’s more chance for the game to get bogged down with tricks. For example, watch out for homophones and other word games that can hide answers.
It’s free to play through the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
