Sullivan says the Grilled Chicken Sandwich is a must-try. “The lemon herb marinade puts this above everything else,” he explains. Juicy without being greasy, the multigrain bun has an authentic texture, and comes together like a sandwich that doesn’t feel like a snack deal. He adds, “It pairs well with Honey Roasted BBQ sauce and nothing else comes close when you’re driving.”
Culver’s
Culver’s may be famous for its signature ButterBurgers, but the Grilled Chicken Sandwich should not be overlooked, according to Sullivan. “Culver recently revised their chicken program and development plans,” he said. “The filet is sweet, the brioche bun is buttery and toasted just right, and the dill pickles add a crunch that most grilled chicken sandwiches don’t have. Everything is cooked to order, no heat lamp.”
Chili’s Grill + Bar
Diners love Chili’s Grill + Bar for its classic American cuisine. While there are many outstanding options, the Deluxe Grilled Chicken Sandwich is the way to go at Sullivan’s. “It combines Swiss cheese, two slices of bacon and a brioche bun,” he explains. “This is a grilled chicken sandwich that feels like a full meal. Most chains treat grilled chicken as a snack. Chili’s treats it like a real sandwich.” Sullivan adds, “It’s a top 3 for me for a drink and a side for about $10.99, which is a great value.”
Smashburger
Smashburger is another burger chain that offers delicious chicken sandwiches like
Deluxe Chicken Smash. “Smashburger has six grilled chicken sandwiches, which tells you they take it seriously,” Sullivan said. “Start with the Deluxe because it’s chicken seasoned with spices, fresh spices and enough ingredients to keep you from feeling hungry after an hour.”
Carl’s Jr.
You’re always guaranteed a great burger at Carl’s Jr., but the Charbroiled Chicken Club doesn’t disappoint either. Carl’s Jr. he grills his chicken over a real fire, and you can taste it,” says Sullivan. “The outside gets those grill marks and a little char while the inside stays moist.” He explains, “Swiss, bacon, fried sourdough is a great combination. Sourdough is a smart move because it holds up better than a regular bun.”
