Diners say these popular signature menu items are no longer worth the price.
Some restaurant chains, both casual establishments and fast food places, have become famous for certain dishes that they like (or at least, used to). Sadly some of those signature menu items are no longer worth the price, according to diners who are convinced that the quality and/or portion sizes have gone down, even as the prices have gone up. So what restaurants are people complaining about? Here are seven popular dining tablewares that are no longer a good price.
Baby Chili Back Ribs

Chili’s will always be synonymous with Baby Back Ribs thanks to that insanely effective marketing jingle, but some diners say the marketing is the best part about these ribs. “The ribs were completely ruined by the recipe change,” complained one diner. The fresh ribs don’t have a lot of flavor or a lot of spice, they don’t have that original spice bark and they lost the meat and fell off the bone.”
McDonald’s Big Arch

If there’s no such thing as public talk, McDonald’s Big Arch burger became the most talked about “delicious product” on the Internet thanks to CEO Chris Kempczinski’s efforts to eat a new menu item. “I can’t do it. I can buy two cheeseburgers and two McChickens for the same price as one Big Arch,” said one Redditor about the price, which is $12 for a single burger at some places.
Outback Steakhouse Bloomin’ Onions

Outback Steakhouse’s classic Bloomin’ Onion appetizer is on the decline while prices continue to rise, some diners say. “They use a little onion that uses a little batter that soaks up a little oil that has gone up in price. Your arteries have gotten a kick out of this,” said one Redditor.
Cracker Barrel Biscuits

Diners are unhappy with the perceived dip in quality with Cracker Barrel biscuits, which they say no longer taste like they are made from scratch. “We ate at CB recently and found the biscuits to be very good. Strange texture, not very warm, and not very tasty. Interesting what little changes can do,” commented another.
Panera Sandwiches

Panera’s sandwiches and baked goods are no longer worth the price, some former fans say. “It’s been a while since I’ve had Panera, so I was surprised how expensive it was when I ordered the other day! The sandwiches were underpriced and overpriced, the fruit cup wasn’t fresh and only had 2 kinds in it, but the soup in the bread bowl was as good as I remembered (and reasonably priced), so I might end up going back to that,” said one.
Biggie’s Wendy’s Specials

Some diners are unhappy with Wendy’s Biggie Deals price hikes, while food offerings are limited. “My company just raised money,” said one employee in a Reddit post sharing “scripts” that employees should use with customers. “When they told us about them, they said that only talking points work. Don’t tell anyone about the price increase, only respond if they notice/ask.”

Subway still isn’t worth the price, some customers say, especially since they’ve released 5 Footlongs for $5. “The ONLY reason to go there was the $5 feet. Like yeah it’s downtown but at least it’s cheap! They don’t even have that anymore, it’s like a bad sandwich and it’s like $13-$17 now, like the whole Subway is gone,” one Redditor complained.
