Why I love my Dyson V15 vacuum
My Dyson V15 works great for quick cleans or deep cleans. Because it’s cordless, I appreciate that I don’t have to keep plugging it in and out when cleaning the upstairs and downstairs of my house. It does not take up storage space because the charging station is installed in our garage. It’s no surprise to me that the Dyson V15 outperformed most of its competitors during CNET’s lab tests. The Plus version is almost identical to the regular V15, except that it offers improved filtration and comes with a few extra tools (such as a low-reach adapter and a combi-crevice tool).
This is two days worth of dog hair, which my Dyson can use at its highest suction level from a 500 square foot section of carpet.
My Dyson also cleans my car well
My kids’ and pets’ messes aren’t contained in my house, so I love how the Dyson easily converts to handheld mode, which helps with feeding snacks for babies in car seats and on the floor of the car. Crevice attachments can reach those between the spaces in my car and bed cushions.

A washable HEPA filter is included
I like the washable HEPA fabric filter, too. No more running out of replacement filters. Just wash it and let it dry. I also bought a backup replacement filter to use so I don’t have to wait for the actual filter to dry before using my beloved Dyson on some dirt.
I love how easy it is to clean my Dyson HEPA filter. I have two replacement filters on deck in case one gets wet when we wash it.
A high-performance vacuum with a single function
My only complaint is its battery life when using it in its best setting: optimization mode. Dyson’s boost mode works well for picking up my dog’s hair, but drains the battery quickly. In order to clean two stories in the development mode, it needs to be recharged to complete the task, and that can take several hours.
Dyson has three power modes for different functions. Total battery runtime varies depending on power mode. I find Boost mode works best on pet hair but will drain the battery quickly.
On medium — automatic mode — I can clean the entire upstairs and downstairs of my 2,000-square-foot house on a single charge, and it works well on hard floors and carpet. Auto mode is good for medium cleaning, but boost mode works best for deep carpet cleaning.
