Customers on social media say these 7 fast food chains are down.
Everyone knows that very few things in life stay the same forever. However, one topic of discussion that often pops up on Reddit feeds and various social media platforms is the decline of food in various forms, from restaurants and fast food to grocery store finds. And, of the group, fast food brands tend to get the worst reputation for poor quality. Which ones are you most obsessed with? Here are 7 fast food chains that customers say are down.
The subway

I still love to eat the same footlong turkey sub that I got at the grocery store as a kid. However, many customers believe that the sandwich chain is not the same as it was decades ago. A small shop “changed the quality of their bread and chicken. It’s not just about getting used to it or not, the food itself has changed,” someone said. “I don’t even want to go into Subway. I don’t want to smell weird bread all day,” wrote another.
Panera

Many people are complaining that Panera’s quality has gone down in a big way. “Panera just fired all of their bakers and workers from their dough areas so people can buy frozen products. So get ready for a nosedive on quality coming to your local Panera soon,” one Redditor wrote. “My Panera already made a quality mistake!” wrote another. “Panera ordered that it take a day for us to eat fast food with my husband’s parents. They went to pick it up, came back, and the whole baguette, the whole sandwich, my fruit cup, and the croissant were missing,” added another.
Jack in the Box

Many fast food brands, including Jack in the Box, have been blamed for the decline. Jack in the Box has been stuffing my tacos with lettuce and giving me chunks of meat. Like wtf is going on,” said another person.
Wendy

Another big complaint people have about Wendy’s is that there is no more fast food. “I went to Wendy’s a few months ago for the first time, it took me about 45 minutes to get my food, there were two people ahead of me. Idk what happened there that day, but I haven’t been back,” said another. Price is also an issue. “I found Wendy’s on a road trip a few months ago and I couldn’t believe the price. I actually thought it was a mistake at first,” said one.
McDonald’s

McDonald’s is another chain that gets a lot of strength, from food quality to service. “McDonald’s switched from deep-fried fries to deep-fried fries due to health concerns at one point, which made them taste different,” commented another. “The last two times I went to McDonalds it took about 20 minutes each time. I actually went to a different one the second time I think it’s bad for me to go to the one that was always slow. No, the same thing. I wanted an egg sausage McMuffin. It’s not worth the price + wait for me again,” added another.
Burger King

Shrinkflation has also been a complaint at Burger King. “Recently I got some chicken fries from BK and it was shocking how they are 40-50% smaller on average than before, they are still served in the same box and they don’t even come in the middle of the thing lol,” said another.
Carl’s Jr.

And of course, the price of fast food is not what it used to be. Carl’s Jr. it has been repeatedly washed in the coals for its values. “I just went to CJs last night and it was sad. I got a Superstar (known twice now), Ghost burger single patty, criss cuts, and onion rings. I asked for 4 sides of Santa Fe sauce and it was $30!!!! wrote another, who keeps the burgers bad, “The Santa Fe sauce is slime now and they fill the sauce cups less than a quarter! I’ve been there before and it was the same rubbish experience. The onion rings were disgusting and tough. I’m done with Carl’s Jr.”
