The new and improved AirPods Pro 3 are $199 at Amazon, a 20% discount. Our audio expert, David Carnoy, found that the Pro 3 “delivers improvements across the board, from fit and noise cancellation to sound quality and battery life,” earning the buds a CNET Editors’ Choice award.
This Amazon deal brings the basic AirPods 4 down to $115. Our AirPods 4 review noted that the new design fits a wider range of ear sizes, an advantage over the previous generation.
AirPods 4 may not be as cheap or as small as AirPods 2, but they sound better and have more features. Note that this is a version outside active noise cancellation.
Apple’s AirPods 4 with ANC are now discounted by $23, bringing them down to just $156. With active noise cancellation, they are ready to focus on work, during travel or other important activities. The powerful H2 chip makes it easy to turn on ANC in transparent mode whenever you need to stay alert. With a battery life of up to 4 hours on a single charge and an additional 20 hours when you take your case, these earbuds are perfect for long-distance travel plans and can tackle work meetings.
These received rave reviews from our audio expert David Carnoy, who called the noise cancellation “a game changer.” This offers much of what you expect from AirPods Pro 2, with an open earbud design. Additionally, Carnoy noted that these were “the first open-ended pieces that I’ve tried to do active noise canceling that actually works.” If that combination is what you need, look no further.

If you’re still in the mood for a good pair of classic wired earphones, Amazon is shelling out a few bucks on the Lightning EarPods. The USB-C and 3.5mm aux versions haven’t been cut yet.

These have been praised for their sound quality and noise canceling capabilities, as well as their sleek design and comfortable feel. Right now the gray headphones are down to just $160. Most other colors are marked down to $180 which is still a $170 savings.
If you’re looking for over-ear headphones, the Beats Solo 4 are a great option. They’re one of our favorite pairs of on-ear headphones this year, with CNET expert David Carnoy praising them for their sound quality, battery life and voice-calling performance. They don’t have active noise cancellation but they do support surround sound if you’re an Apple user. Plus, they deliver 50 hours of listening time per charge. They’re also lightweight at just 217 grams, and thick ear cushions help reduce external noise.
Note that prices vary by model. The biggest discount right now is on the pink black and gold models. Some are on sale too, but for $150 instead of $120.
Beats Studio Buds are a great option for those on a tight budget. They have a slim, stemless design, active noise cancellation and an amazing 36-hour battery life. They also support some simple Android features, making them a great alternative to AirPods if you’re not an iPhone user.
